Have the gearbox issues which plagued my old 1999 model been sorted? Clutch? Mystery electronic problems? Any experiences of this vehicle would be appreciated A Anthony489 2. Points. 2. Light came on after pressure washing engine bay, so I assume the lead was dislodged, but haven't been able to find it. Any clues appreciated! Mar 27, 2021. Messages. 1. Points. 1. Mar 31, 2021. #1. Hi, I have a 2009 2.3 multi jet, has anyone changed the egr valve on one of these using ramps ( like car ramps) the back 2 bolts are right at the back of the engine and one article I have read says that one of them needs to be accessed from underneath whilst it is on ramps. I have a 5 year old Fiat Ducato PVC with the 150 engine and Comfortmatic. I usually drive large estates (Volvo and BMW since 2004) with auto gearboxes and powerful engines so am used to comfort, power and good handling. I thought that I would find a Fiat Ducato, in comparison, to be slow, cumbersome, noisy and uncomfortable with poor handling. Hello members im new here I've read a lot about this problem but still i cant find a solution so here it is i have fiat ducato 2008 2.3 multijet 130hp and the problem is engine is stalling between 1000-2000rpm when u try to floor the pedal after 2k rpm there is no problem i have changed the fuel filter, fuel pressure sensor, fuel rail pressure Hi all, been a while since I posted on here. For the last 5 months the glow plug warning light comes on for a few mins then goes off. The engine always starts first time. I was going to change them but was told they were okay. Anybody got any ideas what could be causing the warning light to 00:01 28 March 2021 0 comments A new nine-speed automatic leads a raft of Ducato updates, and delivers a much better van as a result. I'm new to this engine at moment but gathering answers to faults. As to the EGR and loss of power being associated together the answer is yes. If the EGR does not close when powering you are using spent exhaust gas with the oxygen burnt away, mixed with the fuel to try and give max power. I want to share my experience with fiat ducato. We have bought 7 ducato vans 2.3jtd during 2008. We must say that we are very happy with their power and space. However, almost all of them had problems. 5 of the vans changed their brakes in less than 20000 km. 2 gearbox problems. 3 changed clutch cyliders. The most powerful engine in the Ducato range is the 3-litre 180 MultiJet Power unit which develops 177bhp at 3500rpm with a healthy torque of 400Nm available from 1400rpm which also makes it the I have been reading reports that incidents of juddering have occured when reversing motorhomes using a 2.3 Ducato engine. No juddering, but it is not happy reversing uphill when fully loaded, the reverse gear is still higher than it should be, I just increase the revs , but the clutch complains, would have loved a Comfortmatic to ease the problem. .
