I ride 2-up all the time and we had a Russell seat on our old R100R and it was great with over 250,000 miles on it. We thought the stock seat was fine until a 2,700 mile ride this July. Therefore, if you combine lowered suspension AND low seat there is a seat height drop of 25mm + 30mm = 55mm or 2.17 inches. Which conflicts with the info on the BMW website of seat height. e.g. Reg Suspension 850mm minus low suspension & low seat 790mm = 60mm drop. Read through a bunch of threads here and reviews elsewhere but still seeking some guidance on the best seat for a 6'3" tall rider on a 2012 BMW R1200GS. Me - Tall 6'3" and 225lbs and really cramped on my 2012 R1200GS. .
